Glynn Harrison is Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Bristol. His research focussed on the epidemiology of schizophrenia and related psychotic illness. He is interested in neuroscience perspectives on faith and spirituality and lectures widely on the interface between faith and mental health. His recent book, “The Big Ego Trip” critiques the self-esteem movement (it advocates the view that we need to love ourselves more) and the modern quest for significance and meaning.
